remove background online

Key out the green screen right in your browser.

A chroma key for still photos: the screen colour is read from the edges, the green cast is cleaned from hair and skin, and you can drop in any backdrop.

If the subject wears green, the key will eat into it. Switch Cut-out to AI subject in that case: it separates the person by shape, not by colour.

Questions

Is my photo uploaded for green screen removal?

No. The green-screen key runs entirely in your browser. Only the AI method sends a photo to our server.

What is spill and why remove it?

Light bouncing off the green screen tints hair, shoulders and skin edges green. The Spill slider pulls that cast back to neutral without touching the rest of the colours.

Parts of the screen are left in the corners.

Raise Range until they disappear. If the screen is unevenly lit, erase the leftovers with the brush in Refine.

Does it work with a blue screen?

Yes. The key colour is read from the edges of the photo, so a blue or any other evenly coloured screen is keyed out the same way.
