Picking a background that fits
- Profile pictures: a plain colour that contrasts with hair and clothes. Pine and Blue suit warm skin tones and yellow clothing; Blush and Sand suit dark clothes.
- Products: Studio grey or Paper with a contact shadow reads as a real tabletop shot.
- Posters and slides: a gradient leaves calm space for a headline. Rotate it with the Angle slider so the light side sits behind the text.
- Travel and fun: upload a landscape as Your photo, then make the subject smaller and move it down so the horizon sits behind the shoulders.
Questions
Can I use my own picture as the new background?
Yes. In Backdrop, choose Your photo and pick a second image. It is scaled to cover the whole frame; the subject stays on top and can be moved and resized.
How do I make the new background look natural?
Match the light first: a warm backdrop for a photo taken indoors, a cool one for daylight. Then add a contact shadow under the subject and soften the edge by one or two pixels.
Which backgrounds are included?
Twelve solid colours, any colour from the picker, six gradients, and five photo textures: studio grey, paper, concrete, a plaster wall with window light, and a blurred garden.
Will the result be smaller than my photo?
No. With Full selected in Export, the download has the same pixel size as your upload, up to 4096 px on the long side.
